About Independent Living

Independent Living is an organization creating practical tools and learning resources for older adults and the people who care for them.

Our mission

Our mission is to help older adults live with dignity, confidence, and greater independence by making everyday technology easier to use and supporting the people who care for them.

Independence, with support

As more of everyday life moves online, keeping up can feel overwhelming. We believe technology should help people stay connected, make their own choices, and keep doing the things that matter to them.

Independence means having choices and a say in your own life. It can include help from family, friends, or caregivers. Our goal is to make that support easier while respecting each person’s pace, preferences, and dignity.

Where we’re starting

We’re starting with free, step-by-step lessons for everyday phone apps. You can practice at your own pace, repeat a lesson, and learn on your own or alongside someone you trust. You don’t need an account to get started.

Our wider ambition is to create useful tools and solutions that make daily life easier for older adults and caregivers. We want to help people build confidence with a changing world, enjoy a better quality of life, and stay independent for longer.

Independent Living is Davi’s passion project, inspired by his own mom. He started it to create things that would be useful to her—and to other people finding their way in an increasingly digital world.

That personal motivation is at the heart of Independent Living. Davi is passionate about helping older adults live fulfilling lives on their own terms, with the confidence, connection, and support to keep doing what they enjoy.
